ECNP School of Child and

The ECNP School of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology has been established to encourage and spread excellence in clinical neuropsychopharmacology among child and adolescent psychiatrists. The school was held in Venice, Italy, from 31 March – 5 April 2019.
A select number of participants was offered an interactive week with an international faculty of experts in basic and clinical paediatric neuropsychopharmacology.
Participants were selected by the chair of the school, with two to three potential candidates per country, on the basis of their career potential. A maximum of 50 junior psychiatrists were accepted and their accommodation costs were covered by ECNP.

The school is intended for outstanding, 'up and coming’ young psychiatrists who aspire to lead the profession in their home country in the coming years.
Applicants with substantial research training may apply during their residency (preferable after at least 2 years of clinical practice).
Applicants who have completed residency should normally not have completed more than 6 years in full time practice.
The school is only for residents in Europe (Europe being the 47 countries of the Council of Europe plus Israel and Belarus).
Applications are considered individually and on their merits. A personal statement to explain, in the applicant’s own words, why he/she should attend, is mandatory.
Please note that it is not possible to participate in more than one School of ECNP.

During the application process, applicants were asked to upload the following:
- Copy of ID
- Letter from the applicant’s institute confirming the application requirements are met by the applicant.
